Donate to Grahamwood DonorsChoose Pages

A number of Grahamwood teachers have active DonorsChoose pages set up to help with fundraising for specific classroom projects, technology or equipment. Please help them reach their goals!

I want to make sure my students have the materials they need to succeed, so I just created a DonorsChoose.org classroom request. Readers Are Leaders.

I am requesting a book shelf display, floor pillows, and a listening center headphone holder. My students love going to the different centers I have in my classroom. My listening center is in desperate need of some soft seating and organization. As of right now my students do not have anywhere to sit besides the floor. My students also love reading, and enjoy reading books on the same topic or the same author. Having a bookshelf that displays the books that we are studying will be a great asset to my classroom.

Give to my classroom by September 3, 2016 and your donation will be doubled thanks to DonorsChoose.org. Just enter the code LIFTOFF during checkout and you'll be matched dollar for dollar (up to $50). In return, you'll get awesome photos of your gift in action and our heartfelt thanks. Thank you so much (from Mrs. Easley)! P.S. If you know anyone who may want to help my students, please pass this along this link!"

A MacBook Pro will serve as additional means of technology within our classroom. We use different form of technology every single day in both Math and Science. This laptop will be used in both small group and individual settings that allow the students to research materials in Science.

I would like to use the Chromebook as a research tool for my students. I would also like to use it as a way to improve their writing. Some of my students have great ideas, but they get stuck forming the letters to write the words. I think if they were able to type the words, it would take away the stress of writing the words. It would help students to improve their writing skills instead of worrying about handwriting.

Students will use the Apple laptop for research, projects, and intervention programs throughout the school year. My students will be able to access multiple resources from one point using this MacBook Pro. With the internet, research capabilities, literature resources, and all the other programs, the world will be at my student's fingertips.
